Bye bye Julie3...

Here we are. This morning I sold Julie3.

Why didn't I keep my Ducati 620 Sport? Mainly for financial reasons. This first racing season left me with a £1500 overdraft which I have to pay back in a way or another. So today one bike left, but hopefully tomorrow another one will go in. Actually I don't stop racing now, I still have a lot of things to learn. So I'm looking for a 600 Monster, not too expensive, to race on it next year. I'm going to see one tomorrow, hopefully it will be the good one. By selling Julie3 and looking for Julie4, I hope to get the £1500 I'm missing for the moment. And I'll still have a bike to race on next year. So what can I ask for more?

Game over

That's it, the season is now over. Yesterday at Cadwell took place the final round of the first season of the DesmoDue race series. That was just wonderful, just like the whole year. Since now a few meetings I don't comment my results, as I'm not happy with them. If you want more details in the aim of making fun of me, just have a look at the standing.

However I was really pleased with my races of yesterday. Keeping in mind that I didn't know the track (actually I didn't know 2/3 of the track as we already raced there but on a much smaller part of the circuit), I was very very happy with the fact that I improved my lap times of 4 seconds between the timed practice and the first race and 3 seconds between the 2 races. And I know I can go faster, but I need to learn how to overtake first... I was stuck behind another racer yesterday. So I hope that with more racing experience (and a balls upgrade) I will be able to handle better this kind of situation.

Anyway I have no excuse, this year I was crap. Now I've got 6-7 months to think about my mistakes and to find some money (for more tracktime, and a better prepared bike...). I'm so looking forward to next year... That was my best bike experience, now I want to learn how to make it even better next year.
